In a world that constantly tells women how to look, how to dress, and how to groom, taking control of your own narrative is a act of rebellion. I am beyond thrilled to share my very first new product under the Alexander Night banner: a translucent latex thong designed as an ode to the raw beauty, grace, and inherent power of women.
We are redefining beauty standards
For far too long, society has shamed women into hiding their natural form. Nowhere is this pressure more obvious than when it comes to body hair, where societies unspoken rules demand perfection, smoothness, and complete erasure of nature.
We are turning that notion completely on its head.
You should never shy away from what makes you uniquely, powerfully beautiful.
Own Your Power
Sexiness isn't defined by meeting someone else's standards. It's defined by how confident you feel in your own skin. This piece is created for the woman who refuses to be shrunk, hidden, or dictated to.

Last year I decided I needed to go to fashion university if I wanted to take my fashion brand further, one year on and my first year studying a degree in Savile Row bespoke tailoring at London College of Fashion is over!
For the past 4 years I have been working with manufacturers in London and New York but I knew if I wanted to take my brand further I had to stop relying on manufacturers and start making my clothes myself so that I can delve deep into experimenting and creating my own world of fantasy and work to building my own Maison.
I was a bit nervous applying as I didn't have any qualifications, I left school at 16 and didn't go to college, but what I did have was 4 years experience building my fashion brand and entering 20 countries across the world which enabled me to attend the university without qualifications.
I decided to study Savile Row bespoke tailoring because it is the highest form of craftsmanship alongside Haute Couture, and the path that my greatest inspiration Alexander McQueen took on his journey to becoming a fashion designer.
Savile Row bespoke tailoring is focused on traditional hand craftsmanship, with garments taking weeks to months to be completed due to the hours upon hours you spend moulding the garment by hand, shaping it to the wearers body.
These clothes are unlike anything most people have experienced as the world has moved to box standard, fast as possible made clothing that is designed to fit everyone, but really fits no one in the way clothing should fit and make you feel.
Growing up I realised how clothing makes you feel, how wearing ill-fitting clothes is perceived by others and how you are treated for it so I know how important it is to have clothing that is tailored to you.
I have always had a petite body for a man and clothing has always felt... off. It never fit properly and I had to deal with awkward sizing that made me feel uncomfortable. It really rocks your confidence and image of yourself when everything makes your body feel wrong so I decided to study bespoke tailoring because I knew that is where I would learn what I wanted to, where I could learn how to shape and mould fabric to make you feel like you have never felt before and give the confidence to shine.
Since starting I have learned exactly that and I am really excited to get started on my first bespoke collections in the second year and start sharing them with you.
At Alexander Night, we understand the importance of maintaining the quality and integrity of your new organic cotton Shibari ropes.
With our organic Aegean cotton Shibari ropes exclusively woven for Alexander Night in Germany, care and attention to detail are essential to ensure longevity and optimal performance. In this guide, we'll walk you through the steps to properly wash and care for your ropes, keeping them clean, soft, and ready for your next Shibari session.
Step-by-Step Instructions on How to Wash your Cotton Shibari Rope:
1. Soak in lukewarm water with a mild detergent, leave to sit for up to 20 minutes and then agitate the ropes gently without pulling or tugging on the fibres. Do not rub them together.
3. After soaking, rinse your ropes thoroughly with clean water to remove any remaining residue. It's essential to rinse the ropes well to ensure that no cleaning solution is left behind, which could cause irritation or discomfort during use.
4. Once rinsed, gently squeeze out excess water from your ropes and hang them to air dry in a well-ventilated area. Avoid exposing them to direct sunlight or heat sources, as this can cause the fibers to weaken or shrink.
Proper care and maintenance are essential for preserving the quality and longevity of your Shibari ropes. By following these simple washing instructions you can ensure that your ropes remain clean, soft, and ready for your next Shibari session.
Embarking on a Shibari journey is an exciting endeavour filled with creativity, intimacy, and self-discovery. However, one common question that often arises for beginners is: how many ropes do you need to start Shibari? At Alexander Night, we understand the importance of choosing the right tools for your Shibari practice, which is why we're here to guide you through this decision-making process.
The Essentials of How Many Shibari Ropes You Need
When it comes to starting Shibari, you don't need an extensive collection of ropes to begin your journey. In fact, many practitioners find that starting with a minimal set of 8 to 10 metre ropes allows for greater focus and creativity in their ties. While the exact number of ropes may vary depending on your preferences and the ties you wish to learn, a basic set typically consists of three to six ropes of 8 to 10 metres. The length depends on the size of your body with most westerners finding more comfort in 10 metres.
Quality Over Quantity
At Alexander Night, we believe in prioritizing quality over quantity when it comes to Shibari ropes. Our exclusively woven organic cotton Shibari ropes are crafted with the utmost care and attention to detail, ensuring both durability and comfort during your practice sessions. Made from premium organic cotton, our ropes offer a luxurious feel against the skin and are perfect for beginners and experienced practitioners alike.
The Benefits of Organic Cotton
Choosing organic cotton Shibari ropes from Alexander Night offers a multitude of benefits for your Shibari practice:
Softness and Comfort: Our organic cotton ropes are incredibly soft and gentle on the skin, providing a comfortable experience for both the one tying and the one being tied.
Durability: Despite their softness, our organic cotton ropes are incredibly durable and reliable, ensuring that they can withstand the rigors of Shibari practice without compromising on quality.
Sustainability: By choosing organic cotton ropes, you're not only investing in your Shibari practice but also supporting sustainable and eco-friendly practices. Our ropes are made from organic cotton, which is grown without the use of harmful pesticides or synthetic fertilizers, making them a more environmentally conscious choice.
The number of ropes you need to start Shibari ultimately depends on your preferences and the ties you wish to learn. Regardless of the quantity, it's essential to prioritize quality and choose ropes that are durable, comfortable, and sustainable.
With Alexander Night's exclusively woven organic cotton Shibari ropes, you can embark on your Shibari journey with confidence, knowing that you have the perfect tools to explore creativity, intimacy, and self-expression.
In the realm of rope bondage, two terms often emerge, each carrying its own essence and cultural nuances, Shibari and Kinbaku. While seemingly distinct, these art forms are deeply intertwined, weaving a rich tapestry of connection, expression, and intimacy. Let's delve into the fascinating world where Kinbaku and Shibari coexist, each contributing to a unique dance that transcends the physical to become a symphony of emotional connection.
The Roots of Shibari:
Shibari, the Japanese art of rope bondage, traces its roots to traditional martial arts and hojojutsu, an ancient form of restraining prisoners. Over time, it evolved into a performance art that celebrates the beauty of the human form, emphasizing the aesthetics of the rope work and the connection between the practitioner and the person being tied. Shibari is often associated with a more decorative and visually intricate style of rope bondage.
Kinbaku: The Erotic Form of Shibari:
Kinbaku, on the other hand, is often considered the erotic or sexual expression of Shibari. The term itself translates to "tight binding," emphasizing the intense connection between the individuals involved. While the technical aspects of Kinbaku share similarities with Shibari, the focus shifts towards creating a heightened sense of intimacy and vulnerability, often involving a deeper exploration of emotions and sensations.
A Distinction in Intent:
While the terms Shibari and Kinbaku are often used interchangeably, some practitioners draw a distinction based on intent. Shibari may be perceived as a broader, more encompassing term, encapsulating various forms of rope bondage, including decorative ties and artistic expressions. Kinbaku, on the other hand, may lean towards a more emotionally charged and intimate experience, emphasizing the connection between partners on a deeper, often sensual, level.
The Artistry of Connection:
Both Shibari and Kinbaku share a common thread, the artistry of connection. The intricate tying of ropes symbolizes more than a physical restraint; it becomes a language through which emotions, desires, and vulnerabilities are expressed. The aesthetic appeal of the ropes against the skin, the careful consideration of each knot, and the shared experience between partners contribute to the artistry of connection that defines both forms.
Techniques and Styles:
Technically, both Shibari and Kinbaku employ a range of knots, hitches, and ties. Shibari often explores a broader spectrum of styles, including decorative ties that showcase the beauty of the rope work. Kinbaku, in its more focused intent, may involve ties that enhance vulnerability, expose specific areas of the body, or elicit a stronger emotional response.
The Evolution of Tradition:
As these art forms journey beyond their traditional roots, they continue to evolve. Contemporary practitioners often blend elements of both Shibari and Kinbaku, creating a fusion that caters to individual preferences and the dynamic nature of intimate connections. This evolution is a testament to the adaptability of these arts and their ability to resonate with a diverse range of practitioners.
A Harmonious Fusion
In the realm of rope bondage, Shibari and Kinbaku dance together, each contributing to a harmonious fusion of artistry, connection, and emotional expression. While distinctions exist, the intertwining of these terms reflects the fluidity and adaptability of these age-old practices. Ultimately, whether one identifies with Shibari, Kinbaku, or a blend of both, the journey is a personal exploration of intimacy, creativity, and the beautiful symphony that unfolds when two individuals are bound by the art of connection.

What is the benefit of organic cotton shibari rope for floor shibari?
Health-Friendly Fibers: Certified organic cotton ropes are free from synthetic pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizers commonly used in conventional cotton farming. Choosing organic ensures that your floor Shibari experience is devoid of harmful chemicals that may irritate the skin, promoting a healthier and more enjoyable practice.
Gentle on the Skin: The soft and natural texture of 100% certified organic cotton is gentle on the skin, providing a comfortable and sensual experience during Shibari sessions. Unlike rougher synthetic materials, this organic option enhances the tactile connection between the rope and the body, creating a more intimate and pleasurable engagement.
Chemical-Free Assurance: The absence of chemicals in certified organic cotton ropes contributes to a safer Shibari practice. Chemical residues from non-organic ropes can cause skin irritations and allergic reactions, potentially compromising the safety and well-being of both the one tying and the one being tied.\
Responsibly Crafted: 100% certified organic cotton ropes are often manufactured with a focus on quality and safety. The absence of harsh chemicals ensures that the ropes maintain their structural integrity without compromising on strength, offering a secure and reliable medium for floor Shibari.
Sustainable Farming Practices: Conventional cotton farming is notorious for its environmental impact. Certified organic cotton, however, adheres to sustainable and eco-friendly farming practices. By choosing organic, practitioners contribute to a more sustainable and responsible industry, reducing the ecological footprint of their floor Shibari art.
Biodegradability: Unlike synthetic ropes that persist in the environment, 100% certified organic cotton ropes are biodegradable. After their life in Shibari art, they naturally decompose, leaving behind minimal environmental impact. This biodegradability aligns with the principles of responsible consumption and disposal.
Elevate Your Shibari Experience with Certified Organic Cotton:
In the intricate dance of Shibari, where artistry meets intimacy, the choice of rope is a decision that echoes beyond the aesthetics. 100% certified organic cotton ropes emerge as the premier choice for floor shibari, offering health-friendly, safe, and environmentally conscious attributes. While other options like synthetic polyester (POSH), Nylon, Jute and hemp exist, it's essential to consider the potential hazards associated with these materials.
As you embark on your floor Shibari journey, let the organic advantage of certified cotton enhance not only your artistic expression but also your well-being and the sustainability of our planet.

In the mesmerizing world of Shibari, the ancient Japanese art of rope bondage, a delicate dance unfolds simultaneously an art form and a form of BDSM. The intertwining of these seemingly disparate realms creates a unique tapestry where aesthetic expression and erotic exploration coalesce, inviting practitioners into a realm of profound connection and artistic mastery.
The Aesthetic Symphony of Shibari:
Shibari, at its essence, is an art form that goes beyond mere restraint. The intricate patterns, deliberate knots, and careful placement of ropes transform the human body into a living canvas. Each tie tells a story, evoking emotions, desires, and vulnerabilities. Practitioners of Shibari often liken their craft to a dance an intimate choreography where every movement is deliberate and every knot, a stroke on the canvas of the human form.
The question of whether Shibari is BDSM or artistic expression lingers in the delicate interplay between restraint and expression.
Shibari transcends the utilitarian aspects of traditional rope bondage. It invites artists to explore the boundaries of their creativity, combining technical skill with personal expression. The choice of rope, the placement of knots, and the overall composition become tools in the hands of the artist, allowing them to craft a unique visual experience. Shibari is, at its core, a journey of creative expression that melds the aesthetic with the corporeal.
While Shibari is undoubtedly an art form, it also exists within the realm of BDSM. Bondage, Discipline, Dominance, Submission, Sadism, and Masochism. In the context of BDSM, Shibari becomes a medium for exploring the intimate dynamics between partners. The act of tying and being tied creates a unique exchange of power, trust, and vulnerability. The ropes become conduits for communication, weaving an intricate connection between the one who ties and the one who is bound.
The BDSM aspect of Shibari challenges societal taboos surrounding power dynamics and erotic exploration. However, at its core, BDSM is about consensual exploration, negotiation, and the establishment of trust. Shibari, as a subset of BDSM, encapsulates these principles. Practitioners engage in a shared journey of consensual power exchange, where trust is the foundation upon which the entire experience rests.
Shibari, as a form of BDSM, has also been recognized for its therapeutic potential. For some, the act of being bound or doing the binding provides a pathway to healing from trauma or anxiety. The consensual and intentional nature of Shibari creates a safe space for individuals to explore their own vulnerabilities and reclaim a sense of empowerment over their bodies.
In the realm of Shibari, the lines between art and BDSM blur, creating a space where aesthetics and eroticism coexist harmoniously. The ropes, meticulously crafted into patterns, embody the artistic vision of the practitioner. Simultaneously, the consensual power dynamics of BDSM infuse Shibari with a deeper layer of intimacy and connection.
Shibari, as both an art form and a facet of BDSM, invites individuals into a realm where vulnerability is celebrated, trust is paramount, and the human form becomes a canvas for exploration. As practitioners navigate this interwoven canvas, they discover that Shibari transcends the boundaries of conventional artistic expression, offering a unique and profound journey into the realms of beauty, connection, and self-discovery.
